THE PATH TO CALM – One-day workshop on calming and attention techniques
Are you always restless, constantly fidgeting, or have difficulty concentrating? Or do you recognize these symptoms in your child? Have you thought about finding a path to a calmer you? As a parent are you searching for a method to ensure your child is calmer and more focused? If so, then our workshop "The Path to Calm" may be just right for you. The workshop is specifically designed to help adults with ADHD or parents with ADHD children. We also offer a separate junior workshop for young children and teenagers, particularly those with ADHD symptoms.
About the workshop:
In the morning session, we will show you various techniques and relaxation exercises to help you have a calmer day. We use methods from behavioral therapy, neuro-linguistic psychology (NLP), counseling and techniques for building up resources, as well as pay special attention to the "here and now" in conjunction with breathing.
In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to interact with our ponies, llamas, alpacas and goats from the children's zoo. Observing and touching the animals sharpens our ability to focus as their calm and composure tends to have an influence on the participant. The calmer human behavior in turn has a positive effect on the animals, particularly as our mood is reflected in the behavior of the animals. You will be able to apply the techniques learned in the morning during the afternoon contact session with the animals. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance as a reminder of the workshop.
