New biodiversity information cart at Hellabrunn Zoo
Open daily from 12pm - 3pm at the "Monkey World"
The new biodiversity information cart was set up in early October. It is currently positioned at the " Monkey World" and is manned by our volunteer wildlife conservation ambassadors. The volunteers offer visitors to the zoo information on poaching, illegal wildlife trade, species conservation and the importance of biological diversity. The information cart is open daily between 12pm - 3pm.
The volunteers use a variety of illustrative materials to explain nature conservation, including several exhibits seized by customs, most of which are from the WWF Suitcase for Survival. The suitcase full of illegal wildlife parts has been loaned to the zoo by the WWF, for which we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude.
