A new giraffe enclosure is being built at Hellabrunn Zoo. The ground-breaking ceremony for the giraffe savannah has taken place in the future Africa Zone. Stadtsparkasse München is funding the giraffe house at a cost of 3 million euros.
There are lions at Hellabrunn again: TSV 1860 München has taken on the sponsorship of two male lions that arrived at the zoo at the end of March. 1860’s members and fans took part in a vote to name their adopted animals and a clear majority chose Benny and Max.
